Throughout
its history, The Duncan Group has been significantly
involved in the production of educational films for
the middle school and high school classroom. We began
with the highly acclaimed series Is Anyone Listening?,
a series of seven shows that addressed serious teen
issues such as peer pressure, drug and alcohol use,
teen suicide and teen pregnancy. Is Anyone Listening?
is among the most successful classroom productions
of all time. Our most recent productions include the
two-part series CIVIL RIGHTS - The Long Road to
Equality and the four-part series HOW TO STUDY
CULTURE. Along the way we've produced classroom
specials on democracy, glaciers, bald eagles, and
space science … to name just a few.

Our
success in the classroom world is largely based on two things.
First and foremost, we pay close attention to national and
state curriculum standards in the preparation of both our
film and printed materials. The work we create is designed
to meet teacher's needs and to present educational material
in a way that is both teacher-friendly and student-friendly.
We frequently engage the services of appropriate consultants
to advise on the classroom content. With the help of accredited
educators, we also prepare all printed materials including
research, background data, bibliographies, quizzes, and
black line masters.
Second,
we have enjoyed a long association with Chicago-based United
Learning - a relationship that goes back nearly 20 years.
United Learning is one of the nation's leading distributors
of educational material. Their streaming service, www.unitedstreaming.com,
is the industry leader in online education. Thanks to the
outstanding distribution resources of United Learning, we're
able to reach more than 15,000 schools and more than ten
million students in the USA with our classroom productions.
And the number is growing by the month. Foreign distribution
of the same materials is also increasing dramatically.
The
Duncan Group's company mission includes using our skills
and resources to facilitate the education of children around
the world. Virtually all of our projects include a classroom
component as a prominent companion to the television documentary.
