the course of our documentary productions, we undertake
considerable research on each topic. The enclosed bibliography
lists various resources we've consulted during our work.
We hope you will find the information helpful in your studies
or in preparation for your own journeys. In addition, we've
included background info on safe travels, occasional food
recipes from our experiences on the road, and occasional
articles and insights from our experiences or from those
of the friends we've met along the way. Sadly, the process
of making a documentary film means that more information
gets left on the cutting room floor than actually appears
in the finished film. For that reason, we're offering excerpts
from several of our interview subjects recorded during recent
