Feature Film Productions
Chip Duncan of The Duncan Entertainment Group has been involved as a producer or executive producer on five independent feature films. The Duncan Entertainment LLC also has several productions currently in development.
The criteria for our feature film work is simple - we're looking for great stories. While we have undertaken development of studio projects, most of our work falls into the world of independent features. We're far more likely to produce a low budget drama than we are an animated children's film. That said, one never knows. Anything could happen if the story is a good one.
Our previous feature film projects have all achieved international distribution. Two of the five have been released theatrically. Four of the five were produced through our sister company, Water Street Pictures. Our previous productions include:
A 1996 Sundance Film Festival Finalist, this low budget independent feature film can currently be seen on the Lifetime Network. Following a limited theatrical release, Eden played with great success on HBO and Showtime. Eden is available for rental at most major video rental stores and is for sale through Winstar Home Video (NYC). Written and directed by Howard Goldberg. Produced by Chip Duncan and Harvey Kahn. Produced by Water Street Pictures, this film premiered on Showtime Network in August, 1999. Written by Anna Optowski and directed by Paul Marcus, the film stars Bridget Fonda, Kiefer Sutherland and Steven Weber. Produced by Eli Samaha and Harvey Kahn. Co-executive producer Chip Duncan.
Row Your Boat
Starring Jon Bon Jovi and Bai Ling, this low budget indie was written and directed by Sollace Mitchell, produced by Chip Duncan, Claudia Vianello, and Harvey Kahn. Distributed by Toronto-based Gullane Pictures.
Produced by J. Todd Harris and Water Street Pictures, this low budget comedy saw a limited theatrical release and has since played regularly on cable networks including HBO and Showtime. This quaint, coming-of-age film was shot entirely in Baja, Mexico. Written and directed by Kevin McCarey, Coyotes was an audience favorite at the 1999 Palm Springs Film Festival and won the 1999 Savannah Film Festival. Co-executive produced by Chip Duncan. International distribution by L.A.-based Porchlight Entertainment.
